The goal | Student has to obtain knowledge related to basic hygienic procedures and preventive measures that prevent infections, influence on health status and productivity of animals. | |||
The outcome | Student has to understand and to be enabled to apply knowledge and skills related to fundamental hygiene, preventive procedures, hygiene of animal housing and production, hygiene of animal transportation, hygiene and technology of farm waste management and treatment of the waste water; applied in aim to maintain health and well/being of animals and to increase productivity on farm. | |||

Contents of lectures | Disinfection (10): Dysinsection (4); Deratization (4); Removal and processing of animal carcasses and slaughterhouse waste (4); Quarantine (2); Hygiene of animal housing and production, Hygiene of cattle housings and production facilities (3); Hygiene of horse farm facilities and production (2); Hygiene of pig housings and production (2); Hygiene of goat and sheep production, i.e. housings and grazing grounds (2); Hygiene of poultry production housing and facilities (2); Pet animal keeping (2); Hygiene of housing and keeping of laboratory and exotic animals (2); Transportation of animals and species specific transportation demands (2);Hygienic and technological requirements of farm waste removal and waste water treatment (4). | |||
