The goal | Students should gain a better knowledge of the application of economics and management in the control system of animal health that will allow them autonomy in decision-making in the selection of treatment programs at the level of the herd or suppression of infectious diseases at the national level. | |||
The outcome | Students should be able to apply the acquired knowledge in economics and management control of animal health and to make independent decisions in selection of disease control at the micro and macro level. | |||

Contents of lectures | The theoretical basis of economics. The importance of economics in the control of animal health. Theory of costs. Marginal analysis. Income statement and balance sheet. Economic damages and veterinary - sanitary measures. Evaluation of the health control program. Marketing in veterinary medicine. Management and veterinary epidemiology.
