The goal | To enable a student for complex view of morphological and biological characteristics of zooanthroparasites and anthropoparasites, interactions of a parasite and the host, interspecies relations, as well as modes and routes of transmissions; intruduction of new methods of parasitologic laboratory diagnostics. | |||
The outcome | Biological cicle of the parasitic development common to animals and humans; Application of the proper method, implementation new methodology of the sampleing, isolation and identification of a parasite or a developing stage; Recognition of the biohazard and introduction adequate methods for the cure, profilaxis and the organisation of the suppression of parasitic zoonoses. | |||

Contents of lectures | Parasitic zoonoses is a medical subject within which one gains knowledge about nomenclature, classification, taxonomy, building blocks, biology, antigenic determinants of parasites common to animals and humans, including factors determining spread of parasites in the environment. Students gain knowledge about diagnostic, therapy and profilaxis of parasitic zoonoses. | |||
